Website terms
The purpose of these pages and the terms that need separate agreement for a real engagement.
1. Publisher and use of the website
These public pages are published by XAVIER, FORTES ADVOGADOS ASSOCIADOS, the Brazilian legal-services entity identified in the company record. They provide a general introduction to organising a first enquiry from the address shown in About. Reading them or using the free draft tool is not a retainer, appointment, legal opinion or instruction to act. These website terms explain the limited contact process. Actual professional work requires express acceptance by the appropriate responsible professional and a separate agreement; no matter is accepted solely because it resembles a subject mentioned online.
2. Information and its limits
The confirmed business activity is legal services, but the website does not assert particular practice specialisms or list individual practitioners and qualification numbers that have not been supplied. Jurisdiction, conflicts, availability and suitability need confirmation for the actual request. The preparation guides describe how to ask for a conversation; they do not evaluate rights or predict an outcome. Do not treat a general outline as advice about a legal problem. English-language presentation and the domain do not establish a United States office or authority to practise in any additional jurisdiction.
3. Examples and illustrations
The dossier and timeline graphics are original schematic illustrations. They depict a generic outline, timing question and acceptance stage without reproducing a real case, court document or client record. The example contains no testimonial, legal result, practitioner endorsement or success rate. Its function is to explain what information can be useful for an initial enquiry. It should retain that limited context wherever discussed. A polished document illustration must not be read as evidence that the publisher has assessed a visitor’s circumstances or accepted a case.
4. Enquiries do not send automatically
The website validates your name, reply email and message before preparing a draft. It displays the draft locally and offers an optional mailto link to [email protected]. No website submission, email delivery, booking, payment or reservation occurs when you press Prepare email draft. If you choose to open an email application, review its recipient, subject and body before deciding whether to send. The publisher cannot confirm receipt from the screen. Keep another appropriate route in mind if a matter is time sensitive.
5. Agreeing a project or service
A legal-services engagement should identify the parties, the professional responsible, the scope accepted and what is excluded. Clarify fees, expenses, communication arrangements and any dates requiring action. A separate confirmation is needed before representation, a filing or an appointment can be assumed. The site takes no deposit and quotes no fee. An initial message may lead to a request for clarification or a decision not to proceed. It cannot by itself create an obligation to protect a deadline or act on incomplete facts.
6. Materials and permissions
Only supply materials you have a right to share for the proposed purpose. Explain ownership, licence limits, confidentiality needs and any restrictions on distribution before work begins. Initial enquiry text should remain brief and should not contain third-party private records, account credentials or unrestricted system access. Permission to discuss a project is not automatically permission to publish the material, include it in a public portfolio or sublicense it. Responsibility for checking supplied facts, obtaining necessary permissions and approving the final content must be assigned in the engagement.
7. Reviews, changes and acceptance
For accepted work, agree who is authorised to give instructions and how decisions will be documented. A newly raised issue, different jurisdiction or request outside the initial scope may require further agreement. Keep express confirmation of responsibility for any next action. The website cannot verify whether supporting evidence is complete or whether an apparent date has legal significance. Its general notes do not replace the actual engagement or professional assessment. Raise concerns directly through an appropriate agreed channel rather than assuming that editing an unsent draft changes accepted instructions.
8. Fees, purchases and third-party costs
No fee, stock price or paid subscription is quoted on this website. There is no shopping cart and no mechanism to collect a card number or payment credential. Any future price must be confirmed for the actual scope, currency, taxes and any applicable third-party cost before acceptance. A service provider, printer, installer, email company or software subscription is not automatically included in a quote merely because it may be relevant to the work. Do not make a payment to an address copied from an unverified message.
9. Use of authored material
The written contact guides and schematic graphics can be read to understand the enquiry process. They do not grant permission to reproduce another person’s case material or create a representation relationship. A visitor must have permission to share any information they later provide; public availability of a document does not automatically settle privacy or confidentiality questions. Any actual professional engagement needs appropriate arrangements for documents, records and use of material. The local font licence relates to a technical typeface asset, not to legal advice or rights in a client matter.
10. Appropriate conduct and external services
Do not misuse the site to send threats, malicious code, bulk unsolicited messages or material you cannot lawfully share. The pages do not provide secure document storage or an emergency response channel. Your browser, network and email application operate under their own settings and terms; the publisher does not control whether they retain drafts or open a particular mail handler. A local diagram or concept does not certify compatibility with every browser, device, production process or external platform. Agree technical requirements relevant to the actual deliverable.
11. Corrections, disputes and mandatory rights
If you notice incorrect information or have a concern about a received service, describe the specific page or agreement and the correction or resolution requested. The published contact is [email protected]; opening a draft alone is not confirmation of receipt. These website terms do not exclude mandatory consumer protections, data rights or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Questions about a commissioned service must also be considered against the actual accepted scope and applicable law. Changes to website wording do not silently rewrite a previously accepted agreement.
